I am but a red blood cell
A simple Erythrocyte
My work is so simple
I deliver, always on time!
No other job option
For me to take
Going to college
We all learn one thing
Carbon Oxygen transportation
We run down the veins
Weighted with O2
Then run back up again
Stuffed with C02
So in the end…
What are we good for?
We are life.
If we don’t perform our job
No one lives
No one survives.
No blood equals death
So we might be small
Little hemoglobin here
Little membrane there
But our importance
Cannot be measured
By our size and weight.
